I’ve got a quick breakfast recipe to share with you this morning. This cinnamon-sugar toast takes me back to my childhood, as it was a treat my Dad used to make for us. I remember him talking about how his Dad (my beloved Grandpa Mason) used to make it for him when he was little too. Somehow, that always made it taste a little sweeter. 🙂
I wanted to carry on the tradition, so I started making this cinnamon-sugar toast at our house. Brady LOVES it, and he refers to it as “Yummy Toast”.
Best part? I’m almost certain you will have all the ingredients at home to whip this up this morning! I love that it feels like a treat, but comes together in about 5 minutes!!!
First, butter your bread.
Then, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. (I don’t have exact measurements here…I just mix probably 2 tablespoons of sugar with cinnamon until you get the color you see below!)
I’m usually pretty generous with the cinnamon-sugar!
Then, place the toast under the broiler. My stove has both a high and low setting. I use the high setting, and it takes about 5 minutes. You will want to keep an eye on them and pull them out as soon as the toast starts to brown and the cinnamon-sugar has melted.
Crispy on the edges and oooey-gooey on the inside…you are going to LOVE this cinnamon-sugar toast!
